To provide employers with an alternative to traditional health insurance and HMO's, CAPS helps design fully and partially self-insured programs tailored to employer and employee wants and needs, such as Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA's), Health Savings Accounts (HSA's), and Cafeteria Plans. Contrary to many Brokers, however, CAPS believes HRA's offer more flexibility and substantial savings than HSA's to employers and employees alike. Therefore, we recommend, Basic Plus, a unique program designed by Redwood Health Services that partners a high-deductible plan with an HRA that typically saves our clients 20-30% over conventional plans. Of course, CAPS also offers traditional Medical Plans through all California insurers, finding the plan to best suit your needs.

Premium Only Plans (P.O.P.)

A Premium Only Plan (P.O.P) is a win-win for employers and employees. It allows employers an opportunity to use pre-tax salary dollars to pay for their employees' share of their benefits. What does this mean for you and your employees? It means a decrease in employer payroll taxes by decreasing your taxable payroll, all the while increasing employees take-home pay due to a decrease in their taxable income. Large and small employers alike can elect to take advantage of this special provision of Section 125 of the IRS code. In looking out for the best interest of our clients, CAPS offers a P.O.P to any size employer for a one-time only fee of $50, compared to $99 or more annually with other Brokers or Insurance Carriers.

Integrated Group Health & Workers Compensation

For mature Californians, CAPS understands that seniors healthy or not need to make smart choices concerning coverage designed to protect themselves and their loved ones. Among others, CAPS recommends a menu of Medicare Supplement Plans offered by Blue Cross to suit those needs.
